oh man im going crazy from all the fun Welcome Week in Michigan. There is just so much free food, freebies, games and fun. (note: all these alraedy paid for in school fees, so might as well go all out and enjoy)
There was escapade, artscapade and convocation yesterday. It was those kinda night activities where theres stalls, free samples and cheap sales to look out for. There was also a dance floor as well as free pool to play. There was also this polaroid photo booth for us to pose as the mascots of MIChigan.hahaha.
Well today we had Maize Craze which was just an event with more free food and serious Tshrit grabbing craze. There were cheerleading performances as well! Well I queued up for this Tshirt printing service where we take a photo den get it printed onto shirts lar. Its really prettttyyy! like theres 9 of us in the photo.hahaha. but my "2" sign (act cute gesture) got cropped away.
After that i had stockwell swirl, where i went to mingle around with the people in my dorm. Mostly angmohs lar, den they were surprised that i came from singapore. Some dont know where that is! Wah angmoh women can get quite bitchy, i realised.
Anw, my roommate Jenny has moved in already. Shes like the greatest roommate I could ever ask for. Really nice and sweet girl. She studied in BarIlan Uni in Israel last year, so shes now back to do her sophomore year in Michigan. My room was sup to be a triple room, but theres only the 2 of us who moved in, so its really great! We ve got an absolutely huge space each=) btw, shes a Jewish NewYorker and shes got a really nice nose=P
just came back from Meijer Madness. Meijer is this huge shopping mart, like carrefour, and each year they plan this event especially for UofM. They give out free hotdogs, free flow drinks, karaoke games, daytona, DDR and great slashes, offers and more freebies for Michigan students to enjoy. The entire event was actually from 9 to 1 am!!! Night life in welcome week is so funnn.=) well, we were walking around looking for stuff to kop, when we came to this place where some people were playing the "cakewalk". Its a game where you step on numbers on the floor when you walk/dance in a circle. When the music stops, the gamemaster draws some numbers randomly. And whoever is stepping on the no that is picked gets a free cupcake!
Thats not the funny part, of course. The cream on top of the cupcakes come in 2 colours. Blue and Yellow, which is the michigan school colour. THen when you start to eat the cupcakes, entire mouth just turns either blue or yellow and your teeth gets completely stained. Shenye looked like an evil witch with her blue cupcake.hahaha.
Im starting to love michigan. And im so devoted,Im changing my tagboard to the school colours. Hail to the victors valient!=))
